The LGV Team
Since mid 2000 under Adrian Johnson's leadership, LGV has developed an experienced and highly focused team of investment professionals. The team operates as a close-knit partnership supported by a dedicated finance team and an external relations team responsible for fund raising.

Adrian Johnson
Chief Executive

Adrian qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers working in London and New York. In 1983, he joined 3i plc, where he spent six years, specialising in venture capital and project finance before joining LGV in 1989. At LGV he led a number of successful investments before his appointment as Chief Executive of LGV in July 2000.


Ivan Heywood
Managing Director

Ivan qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse and then transferred to its corporate finance division. He joined LGV in October 1990 and has been actively involved with many investments.


Michael Mowlem
Managing Director

Michael joined Hambros Bank in 1988 in their corporate finance division. After nine years he joined PPM Ventures where he gained considerable private equity experience on a wide range of investments including public-to-privates. He joined LGV in October 2000. Michael is also involved in external fund raising.


Michael O'Donnell
Managing Director

Michael joined BZW's Mergers & Acquisitions division in 1988. In 1993, he joined Morgan Grenfell, working in mergers & acquisitions and equity capital markets. He joined LGV in April 1998.


Bill Priestley
Managing Director

Bill joined Barclays Bank in 1990 and then moved to N M Rothschild & Sons in 1993 initially in the corporate banking and property teams. In 1997 he was appointed manager of the acquisition finance team with responsibility for a wide range of corporate clients becoming assistant director and head of banking in 1998 in Birmingham. He joined LGV in September 2000.


Joanne Parfrey
Director

A chemist by training, Joanne qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen in 1998 after which she became a corporate finance executive with The BOC Group and then Elementis plc where she became involved with the transaction process, acquisition finance and deal structuring. She joined LGV in October 2000.


Zoe Clements
Assistant Director

Zoe qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers spending almost three years in their Business Recovery Services department following qualification. She joined Royal Bank of Scotland in their leveraged finance department in 2001 where she worked on a number of buyouts in the UK mid & large cap markets.

She joined LGV in June 2005. Zoe graduated from London School of Economics with a degree in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics.


Steven Phillips
Assistant Director

After graduating from Nottingham University with a first class honours degree in Industrial Economics, Steven joined KPMG in 1998. At KPMG he worked within the Financial Services business and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2001. Steven then moved to the private equity team within Transaction Services and conducted due diligence and financial analysis on behalf of a range of private equity houses. Steven joined LGV in September 2002.


Euan O'Sullivan
Associate

After graduating from Oxford University in 2000 with a degree in Modern History, Euan joined the business strategy consultancy practice at Accenture. Following three years as a strategy consultant, and having undertaken postgraduate corporate finance study at London Business School, Euan moved to Close Brothers Corporate Finance. At Close Brothers, Euan worked on a number of mid-market M&A transactions, with a primary focus on the leisure sector. Euan joined LGV in January 2007.


Paul Landsman
Associate

Paul graduated from Leeds University with a first class honors degree in Accounting and Finance in 2001. He then qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte, working in the Financial Services audit team before moving to the Corporate Finance Transaction Services team. In 2005, Paul joined Cavendish Corporate Finance, where he advised on a range of transactions with a focus on the retail, industrial and leisure sectors. Paul joined LGV in September 2007.


James Dawes
Finance Director

James joined Legal & General Investment Management in 1997. He held several roles in the LGIM Finance team, most recently spending four years as Head of Securities Finance, before joining LGV as Finance Director in August 2007. James graduated from Durham University with a degree in Engineering with Management, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and a Member of the Securities & Investment Institute.


Roz McLaren
Associate Director

Roz joined the Legal & General Graduate Accountancy Scheme in 1987. She worked in investments, general insurance and group finance before becoming Financial Controller of Legal & General Estate Agencies (London and South). Roz qualified as an Accountant in 1990 and joined LGV in 1994 as the Financial Controller, being promoted to senior Financial Controller in early 2000. In July 2001, she moved to work as part of the External Relations team.
